blast it.
give me music, give me soul.
finally. a breath of fresh air through the vehicle of music i can crank up and dance to as i put my office back to order.
my spirit is dying after an evening of stilted-probably-helpful-but-utterly-boring-and-dry organizational reading for work.
blah.
now it’s 10 p.m.
a long workday, interrupted with a lovely lunch with Mother – who of course…made it a point to tell the wait staff it was for my birthday. i thought i was going to get away without her drawing attention this year, but no, not Mom. =) nevermind that i’ll be 26 years old and she’s still got six younger children to embarrass, i mean love. hahaha. i love my mom. anyway, so i wanted to see the movie “Juno” so we went after lunch – which was excellent by the way. loved the prolife message and it was creatively done and the acting was fabulous…though it was a little too idealistic for reality, but whatever. it’s refreshing to see a film showcasing some positive and needed values.
then…back to work and a roommate who had cooked some chicken for us. i’m eating better than i did for the last two years simply because she cooks and bakes on a regular basis – it’s beyond fabulous. while i was working on expense reports and other mundane but necessary work items tonight, dry stuff that was dulling to my mind, she took my brownie recipe and altered it to make it into a peanut butter brownie delight. and she made them moist and fudgy – ecstasy!
is today over? i’m ready to slip into bed…but so much work left to be done yet. yawn.
