thankful

Thankful for friends.

I had a bit of a mini melt-down last night over a small failure professionally…and one friend, in asking me about what was going on, said the following:

You’re smart, intelligent and talented. But even girls like you can’t get it right 100% of the time. By product of being human. Complain to God so He can fix it in the next release :-)

Loved it; made me laugh aloud.

Or as Dan W. always says when I’m complaining about an inadequacy, “What, you mean you’re human, Christy?!” Sometimes I like to try to forget that. ;p

Ahh, yes. When I hit the brick wall, I remember just who I am.

Anyway, thankful for friends to remind me of what I know but sometimes forget: that I don’t have to perfect, that I don’t have to always have it down, that I don’t have to have everything figured out; that I will screw up, that I do screw up, and that I will continue to screw up.

I think that’s basically the message of the gospel, or good news, eh?

Thankful Jesus saves a girl like me. ;)
