the smallest things

I bought a paper cutter and cute, little silver binder clips for work and I am all excited to use them today. *grin*
I was hanging out with Andrea (Chinese American) and her husband Jason before Andrea and I had a work meeting and I was watching her cook dinner and was just “ooooooohhhing” and “aahhhing” as she taught me how to cook authentic Chinese food (and a Korean dish thrown in to boot). It was fabulous…and I was getting so excited at one, learning a new cuisine and two, at the amazingly beautiful colors of the dish - the reds, yellows, greens and oranges were just so pleasing to the eye, Andrea just stopped cooking, laughed at me and said “Christy, you crack me up.”
;p
I think in many ways, I still have the joy and wonderment of being a child exploring the world. I pray I never lose that perspective on life. I pray I always get excited over the smallest things, for all are gifts from a good God.
Off to use my paper cutter.
;)
That’s a real INFP trait. ;)
I recently read a description of the INFP as a child and felt like I was reading a biography of my childhood - scary.
Haha. ;p
Haha, me too. It wierded me out for a while. If people want to understand me they really should just read an INFP profile!
I know; it disturbs me, too, a bit. I’ve been half tempted to post in an additional “about me” page one particular description of the INFP that I found because sans one or two sentences, it’s me to a T. Not ALL of me…I like to think I’m a little more dynamic than one person’s account of an INFP, haha, but it’s at least a very good foundational starting point. ;)
Yeah, if one profile said it all about me I wouldn’t need a blog. But it’s a good base. The more I study it the more I find it explains how I think and act in a lot of situations.
Exactly. ;p
I read one profile to my best friend/former roommate and she just kept saying “yes, mhmm, yep, yes” to practically every sentence.
LOL.
It’s been a helpful tool for me lately to think through; the tension is in not assuming carte blanche certain things about another if you know their profile; yet, with me, I’m a pretty hardcore INFP. ;) So…..
Trying to incorporate some “J” traits though into my life. ;) I think it’d just be helpful.
