a sweet compliment

One of my girlfriends, whom I adore, tends to write songs about me and my love life (or lack thereof, depending upon when she’s writing ;)…or uses my life in general as a muse…she’s amazing…I’ll lay on the couch, she’ll sit down at my piano, and create something - for whatever mood I’m in (or “we” are in, as friends and fellow single gals) and it’s just fabulous. She found one of the old songs she wrote for me/us and sent it this morning and then sent this message:

I need to release a Christy album. My only problem is all that forgetting…
Thanks for always being my musical muse…you’ve just got that magic around you.

*grin* I must admit, it’s kind of fun having this string of songs written about you, for you, with you partially in mind. Now…if only I could write the music myself…and play and sing as well as she does…
