happy friday

I can no longer function well on only five hours of sleep.

Very tired this afternoon. ;) But happy it’s Friday.

I have a date this weekend with my nine-year-old brother; he’ll spend the night at my place and there shall be lots of sibling bonding time including a trip to see the film Prince Caspian, some baking and lots of talking and hanging out together.

I’m honored that he canceled plans with his best friend (a sleepover) to come hang out with me. I told him not to and that we could easily reschedule, but he said “No!! I really want to come hang out with you.” =)

Have I mentioned I’ve got the best youngest brother in the world? ;p

This morning, as I was pulling out of my apartment complex, I was accosted by the two office managers who were standing on the curb with huge smiles, giving away brown paper gift bags as a “Happy Friday” treat…they flagged me down and were very chipper; I was barely awake, hadn’t put on any mascara (pretty much the only makeup I wear) and was out of it as I hadn’t started drinking my coffee yet, so I had to laugh…what a start to my morning.

Only a few more hours and I’m able to officially start my weekend. And I intend to take most of it off from work, wahoo! Soooooo excited about that. =)
