Christy,
I don’t usually make comments like this, but that is an incredibly beautiful sexy picture.
(Is this where one says “thank you”?)
;)
*smirk* If you want to… pretty much anything better than “Ugh! Get off my blog, you scary old freak!” would be fine by me.
;)
Haha.
Thanks, Jonolan.
No wonder I liked your blog :
1. You like Calvin & Hobbes . That is by far my favourite comic book ever. One that I avidly collected, even when the ‘latest’ book to come out was a ‘best of’ compliation that I knew I already would have read.
2. You like Counting Crows and The Cranberries. The first one is an Aussie band (I live in Sydney), the second one a great band. Do you like Crowded House? I love their music.
3. You like action movies.
4. You have a deep spiritual fibre within yourself.
5. You will show how tolerant of others you are by accepting the english spelling of the word ‘fibre’ in the previous line :-)
Keep up the writing. It’s fun and makes us think about stuff.
Thanks, dvprivate.
I don’ t know Crowded House. I shall have to check them out. =)
And Watterson, in my opinion, was genius. I still am sad he stopped writing fresh material, but his old never grows old. =)
It seems I have found a friend. Do not lose your fervor for truth. It does more than “set you free.”
Thanks, kevinolsen.
I don’t plan on losing my fervor for truth any time soon. ;) So what does it do beyond “setting you free”?
The facets of truth are actually two sides of the same coin.
Truth can only set people free if it has first put them into bondage. Truth sets the standard. Truth is a real entity (not a subjective feeling) that acts as a measuring stick for humanity to compare themselves with God. Therefore some truth condemns.
Left unto ourselves we can never live up to the standard of God. Only once we realize and accept it can truth start setting us free from sin, death, Hell, and all the accompanying consequences.
To the same degree truth, for a Christian, truth sets the standard for faith and practice . . . only when we live in conformity to those standards can we be genuinly free.
Thanks for the explication. Good to meditate upon today, and I particularly liked how you expressed the following: Truth can only set people free if it has first put them into bondage.
Thanks for your responses. =) And the reminder that Truth sets us free! Refreshing to my soul the past few days as everywhere I’ve turned, it seems, it has been called into question and falsehood has been labeled truth and truth, falsehood.
Hi, I’m Rhea. Your blog was recommended to me by jonolan ( blog.jonolan.net ), who highly recommended your writings. I just wanted to introduce myself and say and that I’m looking forward to reading more of what you have to say.

I can get paid for this?!?! Hot damn! LOL Honestly I just thought, after perusing Rhea’s blog, that she’d really enjoy yours.

Thanks for stopping by, Idetrorce.
Agreeing with me is never a prerequisite for life or for stopping by. ;)
I am curious, though, what it is in particular you take contention with - or if it’s my entire worldview you disagree with.
Cheers!
Hey Moriah,
sorry it took me so long, but today I finally got around adding you to my blogroll! :-)
By the way, Idetrorce is an idiot - somehow he is going around WordPress and leaving the same comment saying “very interesting, but I don’t agree with you
Idetrorce”. Check my post about Falling out of love (http://roacc.wordpress.com/2007/11/23/can-we-fall-out-of-love/) and you will see the exactly identical comment. In addition, I decided to google the phrase “very interesting, but I don’t agree with you” and found a variety of blogs with the same comment. What a twit!
… and just as I pushed the ‘Publish’ button, I got the brilliant idea of googling his name, Idetrorce. After a bit f reading, I found it is probably related to spam and malicious activity, so I decided to eliminate the comment from my post. Not sure how a comment can do much that is malicious, but heck, The comment did not add anything of value anyway.
You can read more about Idetrorce in this link:

Thanks, Crazy Colombian!!
